Overview
This role is best suited to trusted employees or team members who need top-level access to account functionality. This guide outlines their permissions and restrictions, and how to add or remove them, helping you manage their roles effectively while keeping the account secure.
Capabilities
What Authorized Users Can Do:
Everything an admin can do, plus:
1. Move Money
- Add money
- Withdraw money
- Pay someone (without an associated invoice)
2. Payment Methods
- Add payment methods
- Disconnect payment methods
- Change the primary payment method
3. Settings
- View personal, business, and billing details
- Update company logo
- Add or delete admin
- View past statements
What Authorized Users Cannot Do
1. Account Maintenance
While authorized users can view this information, they cannot change:
- Account Owner Information (First/Last name, email, and phone)
- Business Information (Business name, Address, Timezone)
- Account Information (subscription, account/routing #)

Add an Authorized User
Account Owner

Navigate to Settings
- From any page in Pocketbook, click Settings, the third option to the bottom of the left-hand menu.

Add Authorized User
- From the Organization Members section of your settings page, select the + Add auth user icon
- Or, you can upgrade an admin to an auth user using the + Auth user icon to the right of their row.
Note: There can only be two authorized users per account

Send invite

If the user is already an admin:
- A pop-up will double-check that you are sure you want to add the user.
- Confirm the auth user’s information is correct and select “Continue”.
- A green confirmation modal will appear at the top right to let you know the invite has been sent.

If the user is not already an admin:
- A pop-up will prompt you to enter the user's first name, last name, and email.
- Select “Send Invite”
- A green confirmation modal will appear at the top right to let you know the invite has been sent.

If the user is already an admin:
Pending Authorized User

Open Email
- Find the email in your inbox

Accept Invite
- Select “Accept Invitation”

Login or Signup
- Depending on whether the user was an admin, they will log in using previously created credentials or by creating a password.
Authorized User Application

Complete Application
- Both previous admin and new users must complete the following application to gain Authorized User access.
- Refer to the screenshot for the following information you will need to complete the application:

Confirm Information
- Select “Continue” at the bottom. On the next page, ensure all of your information looks correct. If it does not, you can return to the application using the back button at the bottom.
- When your information is correct, select “Submit” at the bottom.

Application Review
- That’s it! Applications typically take 1-3 business days to review, but we will keep you updated. In the meantime, all administrative actions are still available.
Remove an Authorized User
You must be an account owner to remove authorized users.

Navigate to Settings
- From any page in Pocketbook, click Settings.

Delete Authorized User
- Use the red trash icon to the right of the user you would like to remove

Confirm Delete
- A confirmation modal will double-check that you are sure you want to remove the user. Select continue to confirm.
