Need to send an invoice to a customer? Follow the steps below to create and send an invoice.

Navigate to Invoices
- Go to your Pocketbook dashboard and click Invoices in the left-hand menu.

Start a New Invoice
- Click the green “Create an Invoice” button at the top.

Fill Out Invoice Details
- In the invoice form, follow these steps to complete your invoice:
3.1. Select a Contact
- Choose an existing contact from the drop-down menu.
- You can also use the “Add contact” option at the bottom of the list to enter new contact information.
3.2. Set Invoice Type
- Decide when to send the invoice:
- Send Now: Immediately send the invoice.
- Schedule: Choose a future date.
3.3. Add Terms or Due Date
- Select from a variety of terms such as 'Net 15' or 'Due on Issue.'
- Alternatively, specify when the invoice is due via the dropdown calendar
3.5. Add Invoice Number (Optional)
- If no invoice number is set, the system's internal counter will be used.
3.6. Add reference number and reference link (Optional)
- Use a reference number to associate invoices with your other internal systems
- If a link is provided, the reference number will be clickable and directed to that URL throughout the platform.
3.4. Add Line Items
- List each item or service you’re billing for:
- Item Name: Describe the item/service.
- Quantity and Price: Enter the quantity and unit price.
3.5. Add Shipping Fee and Tax (Optional)
- Tax can be toggled between a dollar amount and a percentage
3.6. Add Notes (Optional)
- Include any specific notes or instructions for the customer.
3.7. Choose Delivery Method
- Select how you’d like to send the invoice:
- Text
- Text and Email
- Save as Draft

Create Invoice
- After clicking "Create," a pop-up will prompt you to verify that you want to send the invoice and confirm that it cannot be recalled.
- Select ‘Change information’ to continue editing the invoice.
- If ‘Save as Draft’ is selected, this pop-up will not appear.

Send Confirmation
- A green banner will appear at the top of the screen, confirming your invoice has been sent successfully.
